Daniel Moore

D.O.B: D.O.D:

Daniel Moore of Queen Street Westminster, Edward Clark of London and John Gibbons of Sackville Street were shown as the co-owners, together with Captain Robert Manley, of a ship under letters of marque named the New Elizabeth in 1757., commander Robert Manley.  This ship, under Robert Manley (jr) made a slaving voyage from London to Cape Coast Castle and Barbados in 1760 for which no ownership is currently known.  There is no evidence to date that the three named owners in 1757 other than Manley were the co-owners of the slaving voyage, but Daniel Moore (b. 1701) the MP for Great Marlow 1754-1761 had been a merchant in Barbados. This is a very tentative association only.
