Justinian Hingston of Rotherhithe

D.O.B: D.O.D:

Justinian Hingston (fl. 1758-61), mariner of Rotherhithe, does not appear in TASTDB but he was shown as the owner of the Josepha captained by David Adam under letters of marque in February 1761: the ship made a slaving voyage from London under David Adam to Cape Coast Castle and Basse-Terre the following month.  In 1758, Justinian Hingston had been the commander and owner of the ship. No PCC will has been found for him: online sources identify him as the James Justinian Hingston who died at Bristol in 1772.
