P_10433_0549 – William Coleman of Lee
Born: Unknown
Died: Unknown

William Coleman was co-owner of one voyage by the Anne Galley from London to Gambia wrecked on Montserrat in 1716 en route to St Kitts, owner of two voyages to St Kitts by the Hare 1724-1725, and of three voyages to St Kitts by the Wiltshire between 1724 and 1726 for which no port of origin is yet known. We have concluded that these six voyages were owned or co-owned by the same man and that he was the London merchant and slave-owner of Lee whose will was proved in 1771. A further voyage by the Anne in 1745 was also possibly his.
