Thomas Edwards (fl. 1802-1813), owner or co-owner of two voyages from London to the Gold Coast and Demerara in the Bruce Grove and the Governor Dalziel in 1802, probably the owner of at least two other voyages from London to Cape Coast Castle and then Martinique and Demerara in 1800 and 1801, and possibly the same man as the Liverpool slave-trader with three voyages in the Adventure 1803-1805 to St Thomas and Suriname co-owned with captain Charles Watt.

Meads ownership Edwards. T. Mead captained the Governor Dalziel for Thomas Edwards in 1802. London Gazette 9 March 1813Issue:16710Page:514 Monthly Magazine and British Register Vol. 21 (1806); the marriage records of 12/12/1805 shows him as widower, London, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-1936 for Thomas Edwards Tower Hamlets Christ Church with St Mary and St Stephen, Spitalfields 1783-1813. IR 26/307/36 Description: Abstract of Will of Thomas Edwards, Merchant of Liverpool, Lancashire. Proved in the Court of Chester. Date: January 12 1808 has not yet been examined; the will of Thomas Edwards late of Coleman Street proved 31/03/1825 is plausible but has not yet been linked.
