3.1 million enslaved people trafficked to the British colonies

Simon Duport (c. 1653-1723), London Huguenot merchant, co-owner of a voyage from London by the Albion to the Bight of Biafra/Gulf of Guinea islands and then to Barbados in 1698.  Simon Duport of King’s Lynn whose will was proved 1724 (and from the will had been bankrupt in 1708) was the father of Abraham Duport of Whydah Castle and probably Simon Duport merchant of Lisbon, whose will was proved 1743.
