London merchant and East India Co. director (d. 1731), almost certainly the man of the same name who was co-owner of a slaving voyage from London by the Albion Frigate to the Bight of Biafra and Barbados in 1698. Henry Lyell was active in the reconstruction of the South Sea Co. and is referred to as the Chairman in correspondence of 1722 but this has not been verified.
