Will of Theodore Jacobson merchant of London made 12/06/1706. He asked to be buried at Allhallows the Great in Thames Street [although he was probably Lutheran by background and certainly left money to the German Church]. He said he had by indenture of 21/12/1704 assigned his interest in the Steelyard in London to his nephews Jacob and Theodore Jacobson, subject to the payment of an annuity of £200 p.a to his sister Anna Jacobsen [sic] and he added an additional annuity of £200 p.a to her from his personalty, together with his house on the Thames and household effects for life, of which latter she could will 1/4 with the remainder passing on her death to his two nephews. He had raised £8000 on Jacob Jacobson's marriage, of which he had settled £4000 on Jacob to use in their trade partnership, and he left the other £4000 to Theodore for the same purpose. He left Theodore further £5000 on which the interest was to be paid to Jacob for the support of Theodore until of age. He left government annuities of £153 1s 6d to the children of his niece, failing whom to the children of his late nephew Henry. He gave 40s each to the trustees of the church or temple in Trinity Lane commonly called the High German or Lutheran church that he had conveyed to them. He gave: £25 to Christ's Hospital; £10 to the workhouse in Bishopsgate Street; and £10 to the churchwardens of Allhallows the Great.
