3.1 million enslaved people trafficked to the British colonies

Ralph Newell was co-owner of three slaving voyage from London in 1699, two destined for Jamaica and one for York River, two alongside John Taylor (q.v.). Ralph Newell blockmaker was the executor of the will of John Lewen of St Katharine’s Dock sailmaker proved in 1709 in which capacity the was in litigation with John Hubbert (q.v.) in 1709. Nothing further of him has been traced.
