3.1 million enslaved people trafficked to the British colonies

Joseph Ormston (c. 1670-1720), Quaker merchant of London, co-owner of a slaving voyage from London by the Arcania Merchant to Africa and Barbados in 1701.  Joseph Ormston [sic] of London was in litigation 1694 in a case involving Sampson Gideon, Peter Francia and other, and was a proprietor in New Jersey.  Joseph Ormston late of London merchant died 23/04/1720 of the bloody flux, buried in Longland Southwark. No will has been found for him to date, probably reflecting the reported failure of Joseph Ormston in 1720.
