3.1 million enslaved people trafficked to the British colonies

‘Richard Hallam’ was shown as co-owner with Robert Heysham (q.v.) of a slaving voyage from London by the Fanteen Gally to Africa and Barbados in 1711.  He has not been further traced. Three other voyages by the Fanteen Gally between 1708 and 1710 were co-owned by Richard Harris (q.v.), raising the possibility that ‘Richard Hallam’ is a mis-transcription for Richard Harris.
