Co-owner with Thomas Hilton (q.v.) of a slaving voyage from London by the Delight to Africa and Jamaica in 1699. He has not been further identified to date. The will of John Hilton of Hoxton proved 31/03/1718 is that of the father of the West India merchant Marmaduke Hilton (1711-1768), but shows no connection to Jamaica or the slave-trade.
