Walter Kent (1662-1746), London merchant and MP, co-owner of two slaving voyages from London in 1700-1701, both destined for Jamaica. Son of John Kent, Citizen and Merchant Taylor (d. 1694) and Elizabeth nee Hay, and brother-in-law of William Kent (q.v.). His will shows Chidiock Kent as his nephew, who also appears in the will of Charles Kent (q.v.) as an executor, nephew and minor legatee.
