P_10433_1015 – Simon Lynch
Co-owner of a slaving voyage from London by the Experiment to Africa and Jamaica in 1700, alongside Peter Paggen (q.v.) and others. He has not been traced to date. A man of this name was owner or co-owner of a privateer named the William and Mary, fitted out in 1691, who in 1700-1704 was still pursuing a group who appear to have been the co-owners (including the London merchant John Degrave), the captain and the crew, to account for the prizes. A Simon Lynch, ‘Barber-surgeon’, was bankrupt in London in 1712.
