P_10433_1208 – John Hoare
John Hoar/Hoare was co-owner (with different groups) in two slaving voyages from London in 1711-12, the first to Africa and Antigua and and the second with no further information after its departure. He has not been further traced. John Hoare and John Hoar cornfactors of London had wills proved in 1722 and 1738 respectively but neither offers confirmation of a link. A John Hoar (q.v.) also appears among the Corporate investors, based on holdings in 1727. Another John Hoare, Turkey merchant of Edmonton (1682-1721), was the son of Richard Hoare, Lord Mayor of London.
