D.O.B: D.O.D: 1822

Jonathan Gorham Fitch (d. 1822), mariner, a United States subject and shown as owner-captain of a voyage from London by the Mendon to Loango and Dominica in 1806 alongside Mungo Mackay (q.v.) (in fact, Fitch claimed to have chartered the ship and to have been the sole owner of the trade-goods and implicitly of the captive African people; the ship arrived in Dominica having been captured by the British).
