P_10433_1480 – Emmery
Co-owner with more established Le Havre slave-traders of a voyage by the Frere et La Soeur from London to St Louis and St Marc in 1763. According to Jean Mettas the ship was bought in London (presumably under another name), and the Feray and Dangirard firm had contracted with the British to take prisoners of war to Dunkirk before the voyage to Senegal, under British control from 1759, where the British assisted in the assembly of the captive Africans for transport.
