Merchant of Fredericksburg, Virginia, co-owner with William Hunter (q.v.) of a slaving voyage from London by the Black Prince to St Louis and St Kitts in 1767, and conceivably the owner or co-owner of three voyages by the Squirrel between 1764 and 1768, two to Charleston, for one of which only ‘Hunter’ with unnamed others is given as the owner.
