P_10433_1821 – E. Jeney
‘E. Jeney’ was shown as owner of a slaving voyage from London by the Nancy in 1764 to Gambia and North Carolina. He has not been definitively identified but he was very probably Edmund Jenney who had participated in 1756 alongside the Traffords and others as co-owners in a slaving voyage from Liverpool by the Phoenix to Bonny in which the ship was attacked from the shore on the African coast. Edmund Jenney of Liverpool was the ‘owner’ of an African named Liverpool in 1758.
