3.1 million enslaved people trafficked to the British colonies

London merchant, partner with Hutchison Mure (q.v) in one known slave voyage. His will (made in 1758) includes Hutchison Mure as his executor. Alexander Callender was shown as co-owner with Mure of ships under letters of marque named Affrica [sic] (which made a slaving voyage for Mure in 1762 as the Africa), Antelope and (with the commander George Wauchope) the Dundee Frigate in 1761. According to the attestation of his will dated 05/02/1762 he died on board the ship Mary en route to Jamaica.
