‘Peniell Field’ is given among the owners of a voyage by the Hiscox to West Central Africa and Buenos Aires in 1735, alongside Thomas Hall (q.v.) and James Pearce (q.v.). Conceivably the Lisbon merchant Edmond Field whose will was proved in 1755. More likely the ‘Peniell Field’ given among the owners is a mistranscription for Pinnell, Richard, who was a co-owner with Thomas Hall in other slaving voyages from London.
