P_10433_2083 – Archibald Hamilton

D.O.B: D.O.D:

Archibald Hamilton, British army officer and co-owner of a slaving voyage from London by the Mary to Cabinda and Jamaica in 1735, with Richard Pinnell (given as Pennel), Thomas Hall and George Hamilton. The will of Lt Gen Archibald Hamilton proved 1749 ties him to the Hambly and Pinnell families, and shows his nephews as Gustavus and Frederick, the brothers of George Hamilton (q.v). Online genealogies appear to confuse him with Archibald Hamilton of Rotterdam, co-owner of a voyage from Rotterdam in 1758.
