3.1 million enslaved people trafficked to the British colonies

John Chamberlain [sic] was shown as the co-owner of a voyage by the Ann from London to Africa and St Kitts in 1726, and as the owner of the Neptune from Barbados to Africa and then St Kitts also in 1726 on what appears to be a continuation of a voyage originating in London. Two ships of the same names and same captains recur two years later for Francis Chamberlayne (q.v.). Evidently the two men were connected, but John Chamberlain/Chamberlayne has not yet been traced further.
