Co-owner of a slaving voyage by the Lady’s Adventure to Antigua in 1723, with Judith Butler, Ann and Frances Stapleton and William Fenton as co-investors. Probably [Col.] Thomas Butler of Camberwell (d. 1744), executor of Judith Butler, whose will made in 1733 and proved in 1737 shows William Fenton senior as a trustee, but conceivably Thomas Butler, Judith Butler’s son and probable partner in Judith Butler & Son, who has not yet been further traced.
