Co-owner of a slaving voyage by the Hiscox from London to Charleston in 1738, for which he is given as Timothy Bridges in TASTDB. Conceivably Timothy Bridge Commander-in-Chief of HM’s ships at Jamaica, whose will was proved in 1738, who had been on the African coast as a Royal Navy captain and who was alleged to have traded illicitly with the French on St Domingue.
