Peter Jolliffe (given as Joliffe) junior, merchant of Poole, was the owner of a slaving voyage from London by the Friends to Cape Coast Castle and Trinidad and Tobago in 1778.  He was visited by Henry Laurens in Poole in 1774.  He was probably the son of the William Jolliffe (q.v.), himself the son of the privateer Capt. Peter Jolliffe and a slave-trader with three voyages from Poole to Gambia and Charleston and one from Charleston to Gambia and back between 1758 and 1760.
