Owner of a slaving voyage from London by the Brilliant to Cabinda and Grenada in 1765; a man of the same name was co-owner of a slaving voyage from Liverpool by the Juno to Senegambia and the British Caribbean in 1764. He has not been identified with certainty. An Anthony Merry was an owner of privateers in the 1750s and 1760s; a government contractor in the 1770s; a collaborator with the Earle family of Liverpool at Livorno; and a London merchant bankrupt in 1778.
