Co-owner with William Bignell of a slaving voyage by the Dennis in 1722. The voyage of the Dennis was subject to litigation in Bignell [and Barnardiston] v Lone in 1723.  The London merchant Nathaniel Barnardiston was bankrupt by 1726: there was extensive litigation involving him in the 1720s. It is possible that he was the Nathaniel Barnardiston (b. 1681) who died at Islington in 1771 aged 90: if so, he had made a recovery from his bankruptcy by the time he made his will.
