P_10433_2801 – John Anderson
Born: 1747
Died: 1808

Major London slavetrader, in partnership with his brother Alexander (q.v.) in John & Alexander Anderson, which controlled Bance Island after the death of Richard Oswald. He died before the end of the slave-trade and the collapse a few years later of his former businesses, and his will shows evidence of significant but not spectacular wealth.
