P_10433_2865 – Samuel Farmer
Born: 1748
Died: 14/05/1839

Owner of three slaving voyages from London between 1792 and 1794, and possibly co-owner of an earlier voyage from Liverpool in 1788. The History of Parliament entry for Samuel Farmer MP for Huntingdon 1809-1818 is consistent with the slave trade investor but not definitive in identifying the MP as the slave-trader of the same name. However, Penelope Farmer makes the linkage explicit in her work on William Gamul Farmer, the East India Co. official and brother of the MP.
