Will of Peter Everitt Mestaer, ship-builder of New Broad Street London made 02/06/1809. He left to Sarah Haworth wife of John Haworth of Chester for her separate use his house known as Oak Hall in Wanstead Essex and his house at New Brand Street and estates yielding £3000 p.a., with proviso for his personalty to be invested if the rents from his estates fell short of £3000 p.a, for her natural life, and then to the children of [his brother] John Everitt Mestaer until 21, when they were to receive the principal. He left John Everitt Mestaer an annuity of £800 p.a. He left three nieces the interest on £1000, £2000 and £2000. He left other legacies of c. £500 to clerks, etc., and instructed the the ship of 820 tons then building at Rotherhithe be offered to George Gooch, one of his executors alongside Robert Pulsford and William Lewis. He made Sarah Haworth his residuary heir without any explanation.
