The Countess de Gálvez was shown in Lloyd’s Register 1794 as having changed hands from Morgan & Co. to Bennett, its itinerary Lo[ndon]So[uthern]Fish[eries], cementing the identification of Daniel Bennett as the senior partner in Daniel Bennett & Co. of Rotherhithe, whose will was proved of Far[r]ingdon Berkshire 02/11/1826, and who was an important investor and operator in the whaling and Southern Fisheries business.
