Thomas Morton (c. 1757-1832), owner of one voyage of the Duke of Bronte to Rio Pongo and Demerara in 1801 and co-owner with ‘Calvert’ of a second voyage by the same ship in 1803 to Africa and Kingston Jamaica. Nephew and partner of Anthony Calvert (q.v.), under whose will he was a beneficiary. Thomas Morton and his sons Anthony Knipe Morton and Thomas Calvert Morton were in partnership with Edwin Abbott as partners in a brewing business at St John Wapping until 1819.
