Captain and co-owner (with William Jennings) of the Friendship on a voyage from London to Cape Coast Castle and Barbados in 1797, and co-owner (with Thomas Hordle) of the Mary on its slaving voyage from and to Barbados in 1800. He appears to have been in Barbados in the 1780s, when a Witherden Blackburn son of Witherden and Sarah Blackburn was baptised in 1786 at St Michael, and in London in the 1790s, dying in Grenada c. 1819.
