P_10433_3038 – William Jennings
Co-owner with the captain Witherden Blackburn (q.v.) of a slaving voyage from London by the Friendship to Cape Coast Castle and Barbados in 1796. Possibly William Jennings of Fenchurch Street whose will was proved 1809, but other possible wills exist, none obviously linked. The captain in this voyage was of Broadstairs and then of Barbados. The 1797 and 1798 Lloyd’s Registers (Underwriters) show only Blackburn as captain and owner.
