3.1 million enslaved people trafficked to the British colonies

‘Robert Oswald’ was shown as co-owner (with Nary [sic] Grant, John Sergent [sic] and Augustus Boyd) of a slaving voyage with no port of origin by the Betsey to Sierra Leone and Charleston; the ship made a voyage from Charleston to Africa and St Kitts the following year under the same captain. This was almost certainly in fact Richard Oswald (q.v.).
