3.1 million enslaved people trafficked to the British colonies

John Morison was owner with unnamed others of a slaving voyage with no known port of origin by the Tartar to Africa and Kingston Jamaica arriving in 1748. A captain of the same name, Joseph Wilson, made a slaving voyage from Newport (Rhode Island) in 1751 also destined for Jamaica in a different ship, but the name is too common to draw any firm inference.
