Sources: TASTDB voyage no. 76496 London-Madagascar-Barbados, the Hamilton, captain Charles Burnham, which shows no ownership information. The voyage is shown as belonging to Sir Randolph Knipe and Sir John Fryer in Wendy Wilson-Fall, Memories of Madagascar and Slavery in the Black Atlantic (2015). The Hamilton made an earlier voyage (no. 20642) in 1714 under Burnham, from Whydah-Kingston (no port of origin is given), for which again no ownership information is given in TASTDB. Hamilton Galley commander Charles Burnham had letters of marque in 1710 when it was owned by Randalph Knipe, Alderman John Fryer, Captain James Tanner and David Miln of London, merchants, and Elias Prince [sic: in fact, Pearse], TNA HCA 26/15/68.
