Neither Ambrose Crowley (1718-1754), a scion of the ironmaking family, nor any family member, appears in the TASTDB, but the will of Robert Clarke master of the Crowley pink (which made 8 slaving voyages from London between 1730 and 1738, and is given as the Crawley in TASTDB) identifies Ambrose Crowley as his master in 1741.
