London Atlantic merchant, co-owner of three voyages alongside Houlditch and Brook and others between 1701 and 1702, and benefactor of the family of Humphrey Morice, who embezzled a legacy of £16,500 left by Browne to Morice's daughters, who were Browne's great-nieces.
