Description of activities
Under an indenture of 03/08/1698, new capital was to be raised by the formation of a joint stock company to take over the development of the mines [lead, with some copper and zinc] previously belonging to Sir Carbery Price. The company stumbled in 1709-1710 amidst claims of fraud against its prime mover Sir Humphry Mackworth.
